Privacy policy
Deft is a personal AI assistant service run by Atharva Atelier, India ("we"). This policy explains what Deft reads, why, where it is kept, and how you stay in control. Questions: mayank@atharvaatelier.com.
What Deft uses
- What you tell it: your messages, voice notes and calls with your assistant, and the notes it keeps for you.
- Accounts you connect, only if you choose to: for example your Google account (Gmail and Google Calendar) or Microsoft account (Outlook mail and calendar). With your permission, Deft reads your emails and events to brief you and answer your questions, prepares email drafts, and creates or changes calendar events. It sends an email or changes an event only when you ask it to or approve it.
- Basic account details: your name, phone number and email address, to run the service and reach you.
How it is used
- Only to provide your assistant to you.
- Never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
- Your assistant's thinking is done by Anthropic's Claude through its API, and its voice by Sarvam AI. They process your requests to answer them; Anthropic deletes API data within 30 days by default and does not train its models on it.
Google user data
Deft's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from your Google account is used only to provide the features you asked for, is not transferred to others except as needed to provide them (the AI processing above), and is never read by people at Deft unless you ask us to help with a problem, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
Where it is kept
- On your assistant's own server in India, with encrypted backups.
- Sign-in permissions for your accounts are stored there too, never shown to anyone.
Your control
- Disconnect any account at any time in your assistant's Mission Control (Connections), or from your Google or Microsoft account's security settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at the email above. When you cancel, your assistant's data is deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in advance of any important change.
